Lucas Might Make Audiences Forget Fox
-Posted by: Quivi
When Transformers hit the big screen in 2007, audiences knew to expect a turbocharged bunch of feuding robots, backed by an arsenal of CGI wizardry.
What they also got was the impossibly hourglass-shaped Megan Fox bending over the engine of hero Sam Witwicky’s bumblebee-yellow Camaro. The mechanically savvy Mikaela still holds the crown as every robotics nerd’s dream date. But starting today, she better watch out. In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, she faces competition that comes with sweeter weaponry than the average Decepticon.
Australian hottie Isabel Lucas joins the franchise as Alice, an alluring classmate Sam (Shia LaBeouf) meets in his first days at college.
“An interesting relationship develops between myself and Shia,” Lucas, 24, has said. In interviews she remains coy about the exact nature of the characters’ bond. “I’m not allowed to give too much of that away.”
She laughs off the rumor, and insists LaBeouf is nothing more than a friend.
“Adrian and I broke up like a month before the car accident happened,” she recently told Australian reporters. “I know there was some love triangle that they were writing about, but that was completely nonexistent because [Grenier and I] weren’t even together. … Shia is one of my closest platonic friends in L.A.” ... Burning Ambition
-Posted by: Quivi
Isabel Lucas is an actress who suffers for her art … up to a point. The former Home And Away star and Logie winner was in Sydney this week to promote the new Transformers flick in which she stars.
While she’s no Meryl Streep or Cate Blanchett – yet – Lucas, who undertook intense acting classes before she joined the cast of Home And Away, was enthusiastically telling reporters the lengths she had to go to take on her role as a Princeton University student in the sci-fi film.
All those acting classes must have come in handy to meet director Michael Bay’s demands that she be well tanned for her role. Lucas refined her “craft” in a Hollywood solarium, though she said the “claustrophobia” ... Read More ...

Shy Lucas not thrilled with fame
-Posted by: Quivi
IF Hollywood is all oversized egos, brash banter and limitless self-confidence, Isabel Lucas stands apart. Sure, the former Aussie soap star is stunning; her fine features an almost impossible arrangement of perfection. But beyond the willowy frame and enviable visage, Lucas, 24, is simply ashy, misunderstood, home-grown hippie.
Publicity spin would have her "unaffected'', but the truth is, and she admits it, she's at odds with the blockbuster world built around her performance in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
"I've had no experience of doing junkets or big premieres before, this is all very new to me,'' Lucas informs Insider during her fleeting visit last week.
"It is very scary. Sure I get nervous doing press.'' ... Read More ...

'Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen' Makes Explosive Hollywood Premiere
-Posted by: Quivi
Some played with the action figures when they were children; others remember the cartoon show. Some were there to see Megan Fox on the big-screen; others were there for Shia LaBeouf. The one thing everyone on the red carpet for Monday's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" premiere seemed to share, however, was a love of all things big, noisy and — in the immortal words of Michael Bay, awesome.
"We made history in this movie with a scene that involved the biggest explosion scene with actors in it," marveled series star Tyrese, who said that the hairs on the back of his neck still haven't grown back. "It was this huge explosion."
Isabel Lucas, who plays the mysterious, sexy Alice in the sequel, agreed. "We have one of the biggest explosions ever in a film," she said. "And we filmed on the Egyptian pyramids, which hasn't happened in 20 years." ... Read More ...

Lucas makes transformation to movie star
-Posted by: Quivi
Pouting and posing in front of a wall of camera lenses at the world premiere of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen, Isabel Lucas looks every bit the movie star.
The 24-year-old was tanned and statuesque in a white Dior mini and Paspaley Pearl earrings as she mixed with Megan Fox, Shia LaBeouf and Josh Duhamel at the red carpet event in Tokyo, Japan on Monday.
But start talking to the former Home and Away beach babe and you discover a softly spoken actress would rather be hiking in the Malibu canyons near her Los Angeles home than getting glammed up for a movie premiere.
It is Lucas' first one and admits it's overwhelming.
"It's been a whirlwind," she says.
"I've worked on five productions since Home and Away and this is the first one to be released, so I haven't ever experienced doing a press junket or a premiere, so this is like really being thrown right into the midst of it, into the deep end." ... Read More ...

Isabel Lucas swaps beaches for robots
-Posted by: Quivi
Former Summer Bay starlet Isabel Lucas has stepped onto the international stage at Tokyo's world premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Lucas on Monday stepped onto the international stage with Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel at the world premiere of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen in the Japanese capital. In the film, out on June 24 in Australia, LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between autobots and decepticons, and Fox returns as his girlfriend Mikaela.
Lucas plays Alice, a girl Sam meets at college.
'Working with (director) Michael Bay and having Steven Spielberg producing - it was kind of surreal and awesome all wrapped up in one,' said Lucas, who turned out in a white Dior dress paired with Paspaley Pearl earrings.
'Sure, you are aware of the pressure and the magnitude of the production, but also as an actress it's not really my job to think about the finances, and (I) just treated it like any other production.' ... Read More ...

Shia LaBeouf: I'm the luckiest guy
-Posted by: Quivi
Shia LaBeouf has admitted he's the luckiest man in the world because he gets to snog both Megan Fox and Isabel Lucas in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen.
The 23-year-old reprises his role as plucky teenager Sam Witwicky in the Transformers sequel - Megan plays his girlfriend Mikaela while Isabel acts as a love rival.
"I'm the luckiest dude in the world clearly," he said at a press conference in Tokyo. ... Read More ...

Elissa Sursara and Isabel Lucas Expose The Truth On Fur
-Posted by: Quivi
“It’s a shame that so many culturally diverse people in the entertainment industry flaunt such a terrible thing,” says Brazilian beauty Elissa Sursara. “Wearing fur can’t be justified. It’s not something people need, it’s just something people want. They don’t seem to care how it gets from the animal to their back and that’s something I’ve set out to change.”
The award winning actress, initially made famous at the age of four as an insanely popular South American child star, has been fur-free her entire life and follows a cruelty-free vegetarian diet, something she was enlisted to describe as a special guest on the upcoming green-documentary of pal Adrian Grenier, a friendship inspired by long-time best friend and Transformers 2 star, Isabel Lucas. “Isabel thought it would be a cool idea to collaborate for the documentary and it turned out great. Adrian has done an amazing job, he’s a true talent and he’s got a great heart and hopefully it evokes some change in others,” she says. ... Read More ...
